Robert Miller
President and CEO
Mr. Miller joined PRT as Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO in 1998. He was appointed President and CEO in 2008. Mr. Miller has held progressively more senior financial and operational management positions over the past 25 years in public and private companies in the technology, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. He obtained his BA in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1981 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 after articling with Thorne Riddell, a predecessor of KPMG LLP.
Tony Pollard
Vice President Finance, CFO and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Pollard has extensive knowledge of corporate treasury and finance, strategic planning and budgeting, corporate reporting and enterprise risk management. Mr. Pollard is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Information Systems Auditor. Mr. Pollard received a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (with Honours) in 1990.
John Kitchen
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Kitchen has over 30 years of experience in seedling production and silviculture. He joined PRT in 1994 when his privately owned nursery was acquired by PRT. Mr. Kitchen has since held several management positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer, and was instrumental in the acquisition of several nurseries. As Vice President, Business Development, his responsibilities include management of PRT’s energy-crop subsidiary, Bionera Resources Inc. Mr. Kitchen graduated Magna Cum Laude from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Biological Science Technology in the Engineering Division.
Herb Markgraf
Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Markgraf has over 25 years experience in senior marketing and sales executive positions. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.
Rob Maxwell
Vice President, Production
Mr. Maxwell has more than 20 years experience in the silviculture industry in customer service, production and strategy development. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Brunswick in 1987 and is a Registered Professional Forester.
