PRT Summit is located in the Bulkley Valley in Telkwa, British Columbia, in the Sub-Boreal Spruce biogeoclimatic zone, plant hardiness zone 2b. The nursery's location in north central British Columbia provides excellent access by road or ferry to Northwestern BC and Alaska. The nursery is situated on 8 ha (20 acres) of land. Growing space includes 177,000 square feet of greenhouse and 40,000 square feet of outdoor compound. Annual production consists of more than seven million 1+0 and 2+0 seedlings. Both coastal and interior species are grown, including amabilis and subalpine fir, interior and Sitka spruce, lodgepole pine, western hemlock, and western redcedar. Stock types are grown for spring, summer and fall planting.

PRT Summit provides a full range of nursery services and specializes in the following areas:
Seedlings for Summer Planting - custom growing programs reliably provide well-conditioned seedlings for summer planting, both as 1+0 and 2+0 crops.
2+0 Container Seedlings - the climate at PRT Summit is suitable for the reliable production of 2+0 seedlings. These well-conditioned, robust and well-balanced plants are economical and provide high value, especially for sites that are subject to vegetative competition and/or snow press. They are typically used for summer planting on very productive sites where moisture is not limiting, but can also be used for spring planting if grown in large containers. As well, we offer 2+0 seedlings grown at other, select PRT nurseries that have favourable climates for overwintering.
Specialty Crops - PRT Summit has developed expertise growing quality crops of difficult to grow species such as true fir (Abies amabilis and A. lasiocarpa).
