PRT Frontier Resource Management
PRT Frontier provides silviculture services from its location at the PRT Dryden Nursery. The city of Dryden is situated in northwestern Ontario approximately 350 km (220 miles) west of Thunder Bay and 200 km (125 miles) east of the Ontario-Manitoba border.
PRT Frontier offers a full range of silviculture services, specializing in the following areas:
Tree Planting - outstanding stock handling and planting of all species and stock types. Programs include pickup from nurseries, transportation, on-site storage and care, and quality planting of current and overwinter stock by highly experienced and very knowledgeable staff 
(our high planter return rate ensures excellent quality and high rates of production). We will be pleased to develop and provide custom programs. PRT Frontier has the experience and resources to accommodate special customer requirements.
Grow and Plant - as a result of our Corporate affiliations, PRT Frontier and the PRT Dryden Nursery are in the unique position of being able to offer our customers shortened plantation establishment supply chains and improved plantation survival and performance through "Gro N' Plant" contracts.
Pre-commerical Thinning - expertise and manpower to space the densest stands, specializing in the use of the Stihl™ 550 brush saw. Our experienced cutters can meet any spacing needs.
Cone Collection - quality collection and handling of large volumes of cones. Equipment and expertise at several PRT nurseries allow us to provide a full array of cone and seed services, including cone collection, cone storage, seed extraction, viability testing, seed upgrading, seed storage, and seed withdrawal and nursery allocation.
Regeneration Surveys - as Specialists in regeneration surveys and survival assessments, PRT Frontier works with customers to develop new programs that comply with regulatory requirements and suit customer needs.
Controlling Competing Vegetation - PRT Frontier is licensed to apply herbicides for the release of plantations from heavy vegetative competition. Our qualified applicators are experienced in broadcast spraying and basal bark treatments.
PRT Frontier's experienced staff and field workers are our greatest asset. Our affiliation with PRT nurseries allows us to offer complete reforestation solutions.

How To Reach Us
PRT Frontier is located at PRT Dryden Nursery, 0.5 km north of the city of Dryden on Pollard Drive. Dryden is easily accessible by air with regular commercial flights, or via the Trans Canada Highway 17. Our Minnesota and Wisconsin customers can drive via Highway 502 north through International Falls.
