Seedling Growing Cycle
AgeThe crop production cycle used to produce tree seedlings, expressed in growing seasons in the same location and growing medium. The first number represents the growing seasons in the first location and the second number the growing season in a second location; e.g. 1+0, one season in one location and growing medium; 2+0, two seasons in one location and growing medium; 0.5+1.5 = a half or partial growing season in one location and growing medium, and then a half or partial season plus another full growing season in a second location. |
Description |
0+0.5 |
Second phase of transplant, growing for roughly half a season |
0+1.5 |
Second phase of transplant, growing for roughly 1.5 seasons |
0.5+0 |
Base stock phase for transplant growing |
1+0 |
Crops grown in a container for one season |
2+0 |
Crops grown in a container for two seasons |
